With all the focus squarely on the two presidential candidates the main event is largely being overlooked.

The congressional Democrats running for reelection are hoping to be swept into office on Obama's coat tails. In spite of the fact that this congress is enjoying historically low approval ratings. Counter this to the Republicans who are trying to separate themselves from the Bush administration, hoping that their constituents will reward them with another term to further screw us over.

Yes the main event this election cycle is the congressional races. Just think of a congress without, Bridge to nowhere Ted Stevens, I forgot to pay my re-estate taxes Charlie Rangel, I got mine, screw you Chris Dodd, the shuddering, drooling West Virginian Robert Bird, Arlen "the defector" Specter, the idiot in charge Nancy Pelosi, the I had nothing to do with the mortgage meltdown Barney Frank, or Allison "where have you been for two years" Schwartz. Lets not forget the too numerous to mention group of congressmen who cheat on their wives, hookup in airport restrooms, drink and drive, and use their office to secure a whole host of freebees for themselves and their families, an office I might add that we pay for.

I know some of the Senators mention above are not up for re-election but you get the point. Congress, both houses, have put this country and it's citizens second to their own self serving addenda. Change is a good catch phrase, change is good when things are going bad, and change can only happen when those in charge of taxing and spending policies are shown the door. As the stewards of this countries well being their grade is a resounding "F". A grade like, F, that would not get you to the next grade in school, would not allow you to graduate, get a promotion at your workplace, and is should not allow them to stay in office.

Regardless what you do on election day at the top of the ticket, please, remember, congress appropriates and spends our tax dollars, they pass the legislation that we all have to live by, all of us that is but the royalty in Congress, there is a different set of laws for themselves. Our only hope of real change is to change this congress. ALL INCUMBENTS MUST GO!
